Tilburg University and TIAS School for Business & Society Unveil Advanced Programme for Cyber Security & Governance

As the digital landscape becomes increasingly vulnerable to cyber threats, organisations worldwide are grappling with a scarcity of skilled cybersecurity professionals. In response to this urgent need, Tilburg University, in collaboration with the TIAS School for Business & Society, has developed an innovative and comprehensive course known as the Advanced Programme for Cyber Security & Governance.

Recognising the importance of addressing the growing demand for cybersecurity experts and the dynamic challenges posed by the cyber realm, this groundbreaking programme aims to equip participants with the knowledge and practical skills required to protect organisations in the digital age.

Developed in close cooperation with the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) and with contributions by Chief Information Security Officers (CISOs) from industry leaders such as ASML, Philips, and Signify, as well as DNB, Fox-IT, TU Delft, and Microsoft, the Advanced Programme for Cyber Security & Governance provides a multidisciplinary approach to cybersecurity education. By bringing together academia, the public sector, and industry, this unique collaboration ensures that the course content is firmly grounded in real-world applications.

The strength of this programme lies in its practitioner-oriented approach, which emphasises the application of cybersecurity principles in real-world scenarios. By leveraging the expertise of CISOs and incorporating best practices from industry leaders, the course provides participants with a comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity governance, law, tools, technologies, and response strategies.

Scheduled to commence its pilot version in October 2023, the Advanced Programme for Cyber Security & Governance offers limited spots to ensure a highly interactive and personalised learning environment. Professionals with managerial cyber responsibilities, regardless of their technical background, are encouraged to apply.
