European Commission Issues €84 Million in Calls for Cybersecurity Deployment Actions

The European Commission issued a series of calls for proposals of the Digital Europe Programme. The total dedicated budget of 84 million euros will be focused on enhancing cybersecurity initiatives supporting novel applications of AI and other enabling technologies for Security Operation Centres, compliance tools for the implementation of EU cybersecurity legislation, and the transition to post-quantum cryptography.

 

About the call

 

The Commission launched calls for proposals of the Digital Europe Programme, an EU funding programme dedicated to bringing digital technology to businesses, citizens and public administrations. The calls are open to businesses, SMEs, public administrations and other entities from EU/EFTA/EEA countries, and countries linked to the Digital Europe Programme. The calls will be focusing on the following areas of action:

 

  • Novel applications of AI and other enabling technologies for Security Operations Centres
  • Tools for compliance with the Cyber Resilience Act
  • Supporting the European transition to post-quantum cryptography

 

Proposals are open for submissions from 16 January 2024 until 26 March 2024.
