October is Cyber Security Month. After a 'cyber food tour' for entrepreneurs in the center of The Hague and an SME cyber event in The Hague City Hall, a cyber knowledge session will take place on October 27 for entrepreneurs from The Hague Southwest to help protect their company against cyber criminals. Police and a victim of cybercrime provide practical tips and explanations and talk about their experiences. These tips can be put into practice immediately afterwards in an interactive 'Cyber Escape Room Truck'.

The event will take place on October 27 at the ROC Mondriaan Tinwerf in the Technology Innovation House from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM. With the option to connect to the cyber escape room and network. The event is likely at 5:00 PM. Interested entrepreneurs can register via this page.

Programme

During the cyber knowledge session for entrepreneurs, Vincent Stittelaar, Account Manager Cybercrime Police, and Xander Koppelmans, entrepreneur and victim, talk about digital security. Xander Koppelmans takes attendees through his experience with cybercrime. In 2015, he was hacked with disastrous consequences. Vincent Stittelaar talks about how the police handle cybercrime, the willingness to report crimes and how entrepreneurs can best arm themselves against cyber-attacks. It is also possible to participate in a cyber escape room, in a specially equipped truck on site. A unique way to put the cyber tips direclty into practice.

Cyber in Southwest

This business meeting is part of the 'Cyber in Southwest' event, which is organized on October 27 by the Security Delta (HSD) safety cluster, the municipality of The Hague and ROC Mondriaan. Cybersecurity for entrepreneurs

The event is part of the Cyber Power program of Security Delta (HSD) and the 10th anniversary of the HSD security cluster, in which knowledge sharing is central. The aim of the Cyber Power program is to strengthen the digital resilience of companies in The Hague region. The event is made possible in part by the Kansen voor West 2 subsidies.
