Call for Participation : Cyber Trade Mission Tokyo

Want to do business in Japan? Join the economic trade mission from 11 until 16 December 2016 under the supervision of Maarten Camps, Secretary-general of the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RvO) invites you to register for this special cyber trade mission. The deadline for the registration is 26 October 2016. This mission will promote The Netherlands as:

 

  • European internethub, as progressive in law- and regulations concerning privacy issues
  • international centre of cyber-expertise and education
  • an example of integrated public-private cooperations

The Japanese economy is booming again and the government is embarking on challenges to prepare Japan for the future. The area of cyber security is an important subject for Japan. They are working hard to digitalise the method of connecting the industry and society. Security of information is thus becoming increasingly important. Also Japan will host the Olympic and Paralympic Games in 2020. In preparation for these events the Japanese government wants to protect the critical infrastructures against cyber threats. 

 

In this context a consortium of Dutch companies, knowledge institutions,The Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RvO) and HSD have signed a collaboration agreement ‘Partners for International Business’ (PIB Japan). Through the collaboration agreement the consortium aims to strengthen the market position in Japan. Main goals are to secure Japan’s critical infrastructure during Olympic Games in Tokyo 2020.

 

Participation
The costs of participation for the trade mission are € 950 per company (maximum 2 representatives per compay). To stimulate female entrepeneurs RvO offers a 50% discount for this specific target group which can be used until March 2017. Travel and hotelcosts are not included. You can register via this link.
