Recap Annual Meeting HSD Foundation

On 10 December, the HSD Community came together at the HSD Annual Meeting. During the meeting, general director Joris den Bruinen reflected on the results of 2019, shared the outcomes of the stakeholder & partner researches and presented the annual plan for 2020.

Joris den Bruinen: "Looking back at 2019, I can say it is was a constructive year. We built new partnerships. We set up new innovation programmes with concrete results, making sure we were involved as a knowledge partner. And we created continuity for our organisation through financial support from the city of the Hague and the Province of Zuid-Holland for the coming 3 years. There was also time for reflection, we conducted a stakeholder & partner research. It provided insights, which we will use for the new 5-years strategy for HSD. This strategy will be realised in close collaboration with our partners in 2020. Making sure we create a joint ambition of the HSD community."

HSD Office will continue many programmes in 2020 in close collaboration with governments, businesses and knowledge institutions. New innovation themes will be explored by involving additional sectors. These will include the manufacturing industry, horticulture sector, health care and 'het Haags grootbedrijf' (pension funds, insurances, telecom and energy companies). As it is an open ecosystem, organisations within and outside of the HSD community have been involved in this.

In 2020, HSD Office focussus on strengthening the connection between partners and financial resources. And connecting more companies to the international programmes. When financial resources become available, the Human Capital Agenda will be further executed.

As a national security cluster with a strong base in South-Holland and a core at the HSD Campus in The Hague, HSD sees plenty of opportunities to create more impact.
