In the period 2008 – 2009 a series of meetings was organized by the Chamber of Commerce The Hague and the “Kennisalliantie”. The subject of these meetings was to explore the economic potential of the security sector in the The Hague region. These meetings were fruitful and a desire to further develop the potential of the security sector was expressed. The Network for Security and Innovation was created for this purpose. This project was initiated and executed as part of ‘Pieken in de Delta’ program (2006 to 2010), an initiative funded by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Municipality of The Hague to support collaborative use of commercial technologies in public security. While the project is now closed, the networks is active. More information can be found here.
