As a part of the MOU between HSD and Fairfax County Economic Development Authority, the security cluster from Virginia (USA) will be visiting The Hague and Amsterdam with two colleagues from the US, on 23 March 2017. Memorandum of Understanding

The opportunity to get into business with Fairfax County derived from the signed memorandum of understanding to create a more secure world and foster economic development through science and technology by more collaboration between The Hague Security Delta and Fairfax County Economic Development Authority. This memorandum was signed in October 2015. The MOU connects Virginia, the United States’ epicenter of research and innovation in cyber security, with the Hague Security Delta, the leading security cluster in Europe.  

 

The main focusses of the agreement were to:

• Promote trade, investment and partnering between the industry clusters;

• Promote research and development opportunities to facilitate joint cooperation for enterprises and research centers between the two regions;

• Promote mutual exchanges between business leaders, government officials, academics, students and the public; and

• Join the efforts to identify opportunities for commercialization of high value-added technologies; help match potential investors and support the sales and marketing of developed products in the two regions.
