Red Tulip Systems, a technology startup providing solutions for secure communications and identity management, became premium partner of HSD in August this year. They decided to open an office at the HSD Campus. At The Hague City Hall, the Red Tulip management team consisting of Josh Petras, Rob Sutter and Patricia Arriagada, were officially welcomed by Deputy Mayor Ingrid van Engelshoven (City of The Hague), Joris den Bruinen from HSD and Chris van Voorden of InnovationQuarter, the regional development agency for West Holland.

Virtual mobile phone service

The American founders started Red Tulip Systems in April 2015 in The Netherlands because of the investment climate, the access to talent, the broadband internet and the innovative ecosystem provided. The company recently launched a new virtual mobile phone service for governmental and law enforcement agencies. This virtual mobile phone service is also known under the name WorkFone and helps agencies boost their officers’ safety in the digital age in which omnipresent surveillance and data gathering pose huge risks. The recently announced partnership with The Hague Security Delta (HSD) was formed to help connect to security companies.

Office at HSD Campus

City of The Hague’s Deputy Major, Ingrid van Engelshoven: "I’m very pleased that Red Tulip Systems can be added as one of the innovative startups with a an office at the HSD Campus. The Hague Security Delta connects security companies, governments and knowledge institutions. That’s an ideal environment for Red Tulip to flourish. “During the process of founding our company in Europe we took part in the Startup Bootcamp Program in Copenhagen,” says Josh Petras, co-founder of Red Tulip Systems.

“After the program we returned to the Netherlands to incorporate. We see our presence in The Hague at the HSD Campus as a great way to plug-in to the European security community. We are eager to learn from and connect with other partners, contribute to the community via education, awareness and support and do our part to ensure the continued development of this important sector."

With Red Tulip Systems opening their office at HSD Campus they gain many networking possibilities in the security domain. Innovative businesses, governments and knowledge institutions from across the country collaborate at HSD Campus to harvest knowledge and develop products and services that contribute to a safer and more secure world. We hope they will find fertile ground." Chris van Voorden, Director Foreign Investments at InnovationQuarter: “We are pleased with the choice of Red Tulip Systems for The Hague. This technology company provides solutions that are very relevant to the security ecosystem in our region. We will support Red Tulip Systems’ team now that they are established at the HSD Campus, and will introduce them to relevant contacts in the security community in the private sector and government.”
