Over a hundred security sector experts from the UK and the Netherlands came together to pool their knowledge at the UK-Netherlands Security Dialogue. The group consisted of policy-makers, operators and representatives from business and industry and knowledge institutions. The Security Dialogue was an initiative of The Hague Security Delta, the British Embassy and the Hague city council, which focused on learning from the legacy of the London Olympics. Highly relevant in the light of 2014, the year in which The Hague will be host to the Nucleair Summit, the World Championship Hockey and the international ASIS conference.
The legacy of the London 2012 Olympics created a unique momentum to combine the goals of the NL-UK Strategic Business Dialogue (SBD) with the ambition of The Hague Security Delta (HSD). The UK-Netherlands Security Dialogue offered the best of Dutch and British security and safety knowledge with opportunities for matchmaking, networking and mutual insight in the future development and the relevance of security and safety.
