The Belgian Infopol vzw and the Dutch Insitute for Technology, Safety and Security (DITSS) are speaking about formalising the ongoing collaboration to reduce the attempted robberies on transport vehicles. This collaboration came about via the Enterprise Europe Network in which The Hague Security Delta partner Chamber of Commerce plays an active role in bringing the international private and public sectors together. The new initiative that came forward, called the Secure Lane, will make use of licence plate recognition and behaviour tracking technologies to reduce the attacks on transport vehicles. According to the Chamber of Commerce, this public-private collaboration is an indicator of many upcoming projects. The Chamber of Commerce is actively stimulating collaboration in such ways and is doing this successfully within The Hague Security Delta by linking Dutch security companies to European SME's. This is one of the ways in which The Hague Security Delta is fulfilling its role as the "Security port to Europe".
