The PRoTECT project, led by DITSS, is looking for solutions and ideas to better protect so-called soft targets in public areas against terrorist attacks. Proposals can be submitted until May 18, 2020 via: https://protect-cities.eu/request-for-information/
After registration, the applicant will be sent the RfI document with explanations and instructions for submission. The ideas and solutions submitted must relate to the five 'soft targets' in the PRoTECT partner cities of Eindhoven, Malaga, Vilnius, Brasov and Larissa. Several parties are given the opportunity to provide a demonstration of their solution. The costs of this are reimbursed up to a fixed maximum amount.
PRoTECT stands for Protecting Public Spaces against Terrorist Threats. This project "teaches" cities to decisively enhance security in public spaces before, during and after a terrorist threat. This is done with the help of technology, tools, training and demonstrations. PRoTECT is an initiative of the European Network of Law Enforcement Technology Services (ENLETS) funded by DG Home of the EU, which is being realized in close collaboration with and under the leadership of DITSS.
