Three Projects of HSD Partners Nominated for Computable Awards 2019

The Dutch ICT magazine Computable has nominated three HSD partners for the Computable Awards 2019: CyberwerfEIT Digital Master School and Dcypher National Cyber Security Summer School. Public voting opened on 4 July. To cast your vote for each category, visit the website. The winners per category will be announced on 29 October. 

 

Cyberwerf

The Cyberwerf programme is nominated in the category 'ICT-project of the Year for SMEs'. This progamme allows vocational level (MBO) students to work as SME cybersecurity consultants and map the cybersecurity related issues of SMEs. Partners of the Cyberwerf-project are the Economic Board The Hague, ZKD indrustial park, HSD, Kenniscentrum Integrale Veiligheid and ROC Mondriaan. 

 

According to the jury, this project is a win / win for all parties involved (SMEs and students). The jury was unanimous in its opinion and expressed their hope that other regions will also start such an initiative. Read the full jury report (in Dutch).

 

EIT Digital Master School

The EIT Digital Master School is nominated as one of the best ICT educators in the Netherlands in the Computable Awards 2019. The EIT Digital Master School, which was nominated together with nine other ICT educators, was selected for the distinctive power of its education programme.

 

Teaching technical students to think like entrepreneurs is a key element of the learning delivered by the EIT Digital Master School. The school seeks out the most promising students and equips them with cutting-edge knowledge and business skills, to help guarantee Europe’s leading role in the global digital economy. EIT Digital Master School students can choose from seven technical Master School programmes. During the two-year course, students complete a work placement as well as a two-week Summer School programme. They study in two top universities in two European countries. Graduates of the EIT Digital Master School programme are rewarded with a double master’s degree coupled with a certificate from the European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT). 

 

Dcypher National Cyber Security Summer School 

The summer school - initiated by the Cybersecurity Raad and organised by Dcypher- is also nominated as one of the best ICT educators in the Netherlands.

 

 

Voting 

Public voting for the Computable Awards 2019 will be available from 4 July onwards. The public votes make up for 50% of the eventual winner. The other half is determined by the judges, they are considering the nominees per category.
