The second edition of the Hackathon for Peace, Justice and Security takes place from Friday 14 June to Sunday 16 June 2019 at The Hague Tech. Use your skills to help organisations such as the UNICRI Centre for Artificial Intelligence and Robotics, Translators Without Borders and the National Rapporteur for Human Trafficking and Sexual Exploitation of Children to solve real world problems. Work with teams to understand interesting data sets and build solutions for global challenges.

This hackathon consists of six challenges, each containing an important contemporary societal challenge. The total sum of prize money is €15,000. Per challenge, there is a 2,000 euro prize. The overal winner will receive 3,000 euros and there is a special prize that is not yet announced for the peer-voted winner.

To ensure that the solutions created during the hackathon benefit the participating organisations after the event, teams are required to work on open source solutions in a GitHub repository which will be created by the Hackathon for Peace, Justice and Security.
