Join Session About New Cyber Security Hub in NYC and $1 Million Challenge

End of 2018, the New York Times released the news that a Cybersecurity Innovation and Investment Hub will be established in New York City in 2019 called HUB.NYC. The city chose Jeruzalem Venture Partners (JVP) -one of the world’s leading investors in cybersecurity companies from Israel- to build this cyber security hub with 50,000-square-foot-space. The city of New York and JVP join forces to tackle the following question: How might we make every small and midsize business in New York City and beyond as resilient to cybersecurity attacks as a Fortune 500 company? To do so they have launched a $1 Million NYCx Cybersecurity Moonshot Challenge.

This challenge calls on industry experts to develop and deliver new, affordable, and scalable solutions to protect small and midsize businesses from the dangers of cyber attacks globally, starting in NYC. JVP is committing over $1 million investment to be awarded to selected proposals. In addition, finalists will be accepted to the HUB.NYC by JVP businesses development programme, aimed at market-ready cybersecurity companies, assisting in strategy, businesses development, marketing, and company building aspects. Deadline for proposals is 8 February 2019.

Exclusive Networking Event: $1 Million NYCx Cybersecurity Moonshot Challenge

On 24 January 2019, HSD Office, StartupDelta, KPN Ventures and TIIN Capital organise an exclusive networking event at the HSD Campus in The Hague. At the event, visitors will learn firsthand about the new cybersecurity hub in New York and the challenge. JVP founder Erel Margalit will be a keynote speaker at the event as well as Constantijn van Oranje-Nassau, special envoy Startupdelta. In addition, 6 selected startups can pitch their cybersecurity solution to JVP during a one-on-one meeting.
