Blog: The Coffee Machine at the HSD Campus

Is collaboration to come to innovation top of your mind when you meet up with colleague entrepreneurs at the coffee machine? When do you benefit from a good coffee? HSD Office stimulates and facilitates businesses, governments and knowledge institutions and we often see how new initiatives and cooperation starts with a small talk at the coffee machine at the HSD Campus. A meetingplace where new connections and ideas start.

Getting powered by a good cup of coffee gets the machine going. It makes a workday enjoyable, but most of all allows for good conversations and new encounters between partners and the Innovation Liaisons of HSD Office. The coffee machine seems to be part of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Corridor Information System (in Dutch “Wandelgangen Informatie Systeem: WIS”). Sharing knowledge and needs, get acquainted with new partners and complement each other. That’s our goal: Together we secure the future.

In the past months for example we’ve seen beautiful new collaborations, which can lead to new successes in the security sector. And I suspect more is yet to come. For instance, a leading network for human rights found its European residence at the HSD Campus in October last year and already made the connection with cutting edge cyber partners like Tymlez, Focafet, Compumatica and Startpage.com to collaborate. Also, HSD network partners Cybersprint and BeOne Development organise an exciting event together about Government and digital threats, which marks the start of their partnership. A few examples of what coffee can lead to. A machine that’s running, sparks, connects businesses, knowledge institutions and governments and leads to new innovations on security.

Are you looking for a new match and collaboration in the security sector? Come to one of our HSD Cafés or lunches at the HSD Campus where you can get access to knowledge, smell the coffee and meet potential new partners! For instance, on 21 March we organised the HSD Cafe Special: Boost your partnership & matchmaking! HSD network and SME partners were invited to meet potential new businesspartners and to participate in a special Matchmaking programme. In addition, there where pitches of partners and for example InnovationQuarter, RVO and EIT Digital and the activities of HSD Office for the year 2018 were presented. We are looking back on a energetic afternoon, where many partners have made new connections. Hopefully leading to new succesful collaborations.

De koffiemachine op de HSD Campus

Is samenwerken om te komen tot innovatie bij u top of mind, wanneer u collega ondernemers ontmoet bij de koffiemachine? Wanneer haalt u voordeel uit goede koffie? HSD Office stimuleert en faciliteert bedrijven, overheden en kennisinstellingen en vaak zien we hoe nieuwe lijntjes worden gelegd en initiatieven tot samenwerking tot stand worden gebracht bij de koffiemachine op de HSD Campus. Een ontmoetingsplek waar nieuwe verbindingen en ideeën ontstaan.

Een goed kopje koffie zorgt voor een prettige werkdag, maar zorgt vooral voor goede gesprekken en nieuwe ontmoetingen tussen partners, en met de Innovation Liaisons van onze HSD Office. De koffiemachine lijkt onderdeel te zijn van het Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systeem en het Wandelgangen Informatie Systeem: WIS. Kennis en behoeftes delen, kennismaken met nieuwe partners en elkaar aanvullen. Met als gezamenlijk doel de wereld een stukje veiliger te maken met elkaar als partners: Together we secure the future.

De afgelopen maanden hebben wij nieuwe samenwerkingen zien ontstaan, die kunnen leiden tot nieuwe successen in onze sector. En ik verwacht dat er nog meer volgt. Bijvoorbeeld, een toonaangevend netwerk voor mensenrechten heeft haar Europese vestiging op de HSD Campus sinds oktober vorig jaar en heeft nu al de verbinding gemaakt met innovatieve cyber partners zoals Tymlez, Focafet, Compumatica en Startpage.com om samen te werken. Ook netwerk partners Cybersprint en BeOne Development organiseren samen een spannend evenement over overheden en digitale dreigingen, wat het startpunt is voor hun samenwerking. Een paar voorbeelden van waar koffie toe kan leiden. Een machine die loopt, sprankelt, zakenpartners verbindt en uiteindelijk leidt tot nieuwe veiligheidsinnovaties.

Daarnaast waren er vele pitches en zijn ook onze HSD Office activiteiten voor dit jaar besproken. We kijken terug op een energieke middag waarin partijen vele connecties hebben kunnen maken. We hopen dat hier succesvolle samenwerkingen uit voort gaan komen.
