About the Event

Apollo14 edition

Solving global problems with pragmatic technology. That is the mission of engineers Tim van Deursen and Thijs Suijten. With their non-profit start-up Hack The Planet, a venture of The Hague's largest internet agency Q42, they help NGO's such as Greenpeace and the Red Cross with challenges that have stalled or that require extremely innovative solutions.

From a smart, autonomous drone that monitors forest fires and a joint VR experience for lonely elderly people to a scalable system to catch illegal poachers: Hack the Planet shows how technology can also be used.
