World-Class Cyber Security

CYBERUK is the UK government’s flagship cyber security event. Hosted by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), it features world-class speakers, solutions and opportunities for interaction between the public and private sectors. You will be briefed on the evolving cyber threat and how we must respond as individuals and as a community to keep Britain safe in cyberspace.

Agenda

Attended by over 2000 delegates, CYBERUK is the authoritative event for the UK’s cyber security community. It demonstrates what we can do together as teams, as departments and as organisations to deliver a digital Britain that leads the world in cyber resilience.

DRAFT PROGRAMME – The agenda for CYBERUK 2019 is now live. This will be updated regularly with new content and speakers, allowing delegates to plan their personal itineraries. Shaped by the NCSC and leading experts, the quality and authority of content is world-class, and set up to stimulate interaction, debate and understanding. Download the Agenda

Who should attend?

Strategy & Leadership Community: This event will be attended by those with overall responsibility for cyber security in government departments and across central and wider government. There will also be a strong industry presence from across the UK and worldwide.

Cyber Security Professionals: Attendees will also include technology and cyber security professionals at all levels from across the public sector, CNI and industry. All those who work in technology, digital security, procurement and data will come together and share the cyber security challenges they all face.

GCHQ Centenary

The NCSC is part of GCHQ, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year. As part of GCHQ’s centenary, CYBERUK 2019 will outline the cyber challenges faced by the nation. It will demonstrate the UK’s pre-eminence in information security, which has played such a vital role in safeguarding the nation over the last 100 years.

World-class content

The NCSC is developing an authoritative programme for CYBERUK 2019. Over the course of this event there will be demos, inspirational talks, workshop sessions with world-leading experts and plenty of opportunity for discussion and debate. CYBERUK 2019 will feature innovative approaches to security that are making a real difference to the services and infrastructure we rely on.

Content shaped for participants

CYBERUK 2019 content will be shaped to the requirements of participants. There will be sessions on strategy, governance and the responsibilities facing information risk owners. Technical sessions will be provided for technology and cyber security professionals. Further briefings will be relevant for both senior information security leaders and professionals, allowing them to work together and consider problems from different perspectives.

Plenary sessions

The plenary speaker line-up will comprise world-class cyber security experts, who will set the scene, sharing personal insights and responding to emerging perspectives from across the event. Keynotes will be short and designed to have high impact, sparking debate and feedback.

Audience-centred streams

Following plenary sessions, delegates will be offered seven content-rich Streams, encouraging active audience participation.

Truly interactive

Every facet of CYBERUK 2019 will be designed to encourage debate, input and feedback. We are determined to give delegates a real opportunity to have their say. We will again use the Sli.do platform for live engagement, enabling the audience to submit questions using their own devices. There will be interactive zones and many opportunities for attendees to voice their thoughts, including feedback walls and stations.

Welcome drinks

To set the tone for the event, there will be a Welcome Drinks reception held on 23 April, the eve of CYBERUK 2019, for the practitioners’ community to meet and network in a relaxed environment.

Leaders’ networking dinner

There will be a formal networking dinner for the leadership community held on 23 April, bringing together individuals responsible for setting the cyber security strategy across government and industry.

Networking evening

Relaxed networking is a trademark of CYBERUK events and the informal networking evening held on 24 April will be a highlight. This will feature thought-provoking talks, live music and refreshments. This will be an opportunity for individuals across the cyber security community to relax, meet and establish new contacts.

Specialist exhibition

There will be a wealth of national cyber security specialists and international guests providing a relevant, tailored exhibition. This will be designed and located to ensure it maximises networking opportunities throughout the event and during the networking evening.

Lightning talks

An event highlight will be the Spotlight Stage, featuring thought-provoking lightning talks. These will be held during breaks, lunch and during the Networking Evening. They will provide a concise briefing on key topics, latest innovations and pioneering ideas.

The Cyber Games

NCSC technical experts and industry partners will again create a series of entertaining technical challenges for participants at CYBERUK 2019. The challenges will be tailored to every skill level.

Cyber Den

The seventh stream includes the Cyber Den, which is presented in partnership with the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS). Here cyber security entrepreneurs have the chance to pitch their products to a panel of NCSC Technical Directors and industry leaders. This will identify and recognise the best new solutions.

Fully inclusive

The NCSC is committed to ensuring CYBERUK events are inclusive to all so that all delegates can enjoy the same experience. We will ensure all participants have access to all elements of the agenda and that they are able to enjoy all presentations and content.
