Event Safety & Security
In June 2018, the Volvo Ocean Race will finish in The Netherlands for the first time in history. For eight days, the port of Scheveningen will be dedicated to this event. There is a lot of preparation in advance of such an event, including the area of security. Which safety innovations are applied and how did they develop? What can we learn from such an event and how do we scale up innovations?
During this finish week, HSD organises the track Event Safety & Security on 27 June 2018. In this track, the theme of event safety will be approached from the triple helix perspective. How do the commercial events organisations deal with safety measures and how do innovations fit into this? How do public organisations such as the municipality and the police make a public events run smoothly? In short, how do stakeholders interact? An overview of innovations in this area will be given by different knowledge partners.
To come to action perspective, young innovative companies will pitch about their innovations in this area. These companies will also be present on the exhibition floor.
At the same day, the Smart City Event 2018 and the iBestuur Mobility Congres take place at the Zuiderstrandtheater in Scheveningen. The events touch each other in different areas, including safety, mobility and Smart Cities.
