Organised by AgentschapNL, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Dutch Embassy and Consulate-General offices in Brazil

Would you like to explore opportunities in Brazil? The Dutch government is inviting you to take part in the trade mission to Brazil which will be led by Minister Ploumen. A special programme aimed at sports infrastructure will be designed in collaboration with the Dutch Sports Infrastructure organisation. Brazil will host the 2014 World Cup and the Olympic Games two years later in Rio de Janeiro. Many Dutch organisations already have contributed to the infrastructure development in Brazil. Already many football stadiums had been installed before the Confederations Cup in June 2013 which also took place in Brazil.

Opportunities for foreign companies
For foreign companies there are still plenty of opportunities in temporary housing, event management, mobility, and safety & security. During the mission there will be a great deal of focus on the legacy of Brazil and how the Netherlands can contribute in the development of educational initiatives and facilities for the purpose of sport. The social programme is developed by the Dutch government in collaboration with the Dutch Football Association, Dutch Olympic Committee, Dutch Sports Federation and Dutch businesses.

Chances for Security Businesses
The mission is highly recommended to companies in the security domain – more specifically in the crowd control, infrastructure and crowd management domain – that are able to manage big events of great importance, e.g. final games in Rio de Janeiro. However, during this mission many more security topics will come forward as it was the case during the security dialogue between the UK and the Netherlands following the successful Olympic Games in London.

Economic Diplomacy
During this mission you will be able to communicate difficulties and requirements with the minister who in turn will liaise with political representatives. For this purpose the minister will hold meetings in the capital Brasilia. Eventually, companies may get the chance to
put pen to paper in the presence of officials and representatives.

Participation
Outlay for participation is EUR 950 per company. Travel and lodging – and additional costs for matchmaking such as translators and personal transportation – are to be covered by the participant.

Individual Matchmaking
Upon registration you can indicate which individual matchmaking programme you wish to take part in which is mainly aimed at new entrants into the Brazilian market. If there is sufficient demand, arrangements with potential Brazilian counterparts will be made based upon company profile and individual specifications.
