About The Hague Security Delta
What's happening in the
Dutch Security Domain?
A Matchmaking Event for Cyber Security is organized during the ‘Alert Online 2016’ period - the Dutch governmental campaign for cybersecurity awareness. The event will take place on October 14th, 2016 at the Zuiderstrandtheater in The Hague.
Reasons to organise this event are the upcoming third national cybersecurity tender (funded by NWO, SiA, V&J and ISF, executed by NWO, SiA and RvO) and the desire to identify improvements in cyber security higher education, to better match the needs of the public and private sector. Plans and recommendations will ultimately be put together in a National Cyber Security Education Agenda (NCSEA) to be published in 2017.
Who should attend?
The event is for everyone, interested or involved in cybersecurity research, development, innovation and education. We invite especially possible future executors of cybersecurity R&D projects (scientists, students, entrepreneurs), public and private research partners, potential profit and non-profit users of research results, multidisciplinary cybersecurity teachers and policy makers.
During the day there will be several opportunities to meet up with potential partners. When you fill out the registration form you will be asked to fill out a profile and to state an offer or request. On September 1st starts the specific meeting selection for the speed dates.
Join our event if you consider participation in the next national cyber security SBIR call/or NWO long-term research call and you look for contacts e.g. to realize to a joint researchproject proposal, and get an understanding of terms and conditions associated with the application process of the third cyber security tender.
If you are interested in closing the gaps between job profiles and cybers ecurity curricula and have ideas to optimise cybersecurity (higher) education and you like to make (first) contacts to share ideas, suggestions, best practices, educational challenges this matchmaking event is the place!
